Een Klein Leven  –  Internationaal Theater Amsterdam
Durability

The scale models I made are not for the representation of the set design of Jan Versweyveld but stage elements of his design. Therefore, unlike an ephemeral scale model, they are meant to be very durable and to last as long as the performance continues. I used wood, cardboard, wood-board and plexi-glass with good structure and  precise cutting.

Een Klein Leven is expected to be very successful as almost every production of Ivo Van Hove and Internationaal Theater Amsterdam. Therefore, the scale models I made for Jan Versweyveld are expected to last for several years, including touring the world.

The story of Een Klein Leven revolves around six friends. Versweyveld’s stage design is surrounding the world of Jude with other characters’ personal spaces. The scale models are placed on the corner of the Architect Malcolm Irvine. Jan Versweyveld’s inspiration for Malcolm was the legendary architect Ieoh Ming Pei.

aus LICHT is a selection of key sections of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s LICHT cycle.

As the first-ever staging of such a large part of the LICHT cycle, the unique nature and scale of this project make it a world-class production.

Scenography for Serbian National Theatre

Scale Model for The Walking Ghost

The scenography of The Walking Ghost designed through excessive experimenting with the scale model. Due to the complexity of the play, it was necessary to create different scenes. Each scene is a bit abstract but also functional. Quick changes on the stage in front of the audience was part of the plan and variety of the compositions gave the director many options to work with.

Scenography of The Walking Ghost has won the Best Set Design Award in Banja Luka Theatre Festival 2016. It was for exceptionally remarkable and functional solution of the stage space, and support for the stage movement and creative visual elements.
